Our Certifications: a Guarantee of Transparency and Measurability

Our vision is guided by transparency and measurability. Our certifications are more than mere acknowledgments; they define our identity and reflect the importance of sustainability in the way we work and the values that underpin our history.

Our products are installed in many large-scale buildings: hospitals, schools, airports, libraries, museums, and more. In these public spaces, quality and durability are essential to protect the safety and well-being of occupants. That is why we continuously develop solutions that are free from PCV, heavy metals, halogens, and volatile plasticizers and are designed for better indoor air quality.

CRADLE TO CRADLE CERTIFIED®

Cradle to Cradle Certified® is an international certification awarded to safer and more sustainable products, in line with the principles of the circular economy. Based on a responsible design approach, this certification promotes a positive impact on both the planet and people. Products are assessed according to five key sustainability criteria: material health, material reutilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness.

Many environmental standards and certification systems, such as BREEAM and LEED, recognize the value of this approach and incorporate Cradle to Cradle Certified® in their criteria. Our certified product ranges include Granito, Harmoni, Kayar, Uni, Natura, Dharma, Massetto, Lava, and Zeus.

Greenguard Gold

The GREENGUARD Gold certification ensures that an indoor-use product meets strict chemical emission limits and contributes to healthier indoor environments. It guarantees that the product has been tested according to the world’s most rigorous standards for volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. This certification goes beyond the standard GREENGUARD requirements: it excludes 360 specific substances and evaluates a broader range of chemicals to support maximum air quality in sensitive spaces such as schools, hospitals, and medical offices.

Our certified products include Uni, Harmoni, Kayar, Granio, Zeus, Massetto, Lava, Natura, Bollo, and Dharma.

Blauer Engel

Blauer Engel is the benchmark for identifying products that excel in ecological and environmental performance. It certifies that the materials used are non-toxic and that the product emits very low levels of VOCs, contributing to healthier, more environmentally responsible indoor spaces.

Our certified products include Uni, Kayar, Harmoni, Granito, Zeus, Massetto, Natura, Lava, Dharma, and Bollo.

M1

The Finnish M1 certification evaluates VOC (volatile organic compound) and formaldehyde emissions through a 28-day emission test. This emission classification system also takes odors into account, distinguishing it from other emission assessments.

Our certified products include Uni, Harmoni, Granito, Zeus, Massetto, Natura, Lava, Dharma, and Bollo.

A+

This label clearly indicates the level of VOC emissions in accordance with French regulations. The letter assigned reflects the product’s emission class, and all our products have achieved the highest class: A+.

Our certified products include Uni, Kayar, Harmoni, Granito, Zeus, Massetto, Natura, Lava, Dharma, Bollo, and ANT48.

INDOOR AIR COMFORT GOLD

The Indoor Air Comfort GOLD certification confirms that products meet the strictest European and national standards for low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions. The GOLD label also considers numerous voluntary specifications established by leading eco-labels, making this certification one of the most ambitious in Europe.

Beyond laboratory testing, the program includes internal quality control at production sites: regular audits and inspections ensure that every product meets very low VOC emission standards, providing a high level of reliability and transparency.

Certified products: Zeus, Granito, Kayar, Lava, Natura, Dharma, Massetto, Uni, Harmoni, Bollo, ANT48.

USGBC and CAGBC

The US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) are non-profit organizations that promote healthy living environments and support the development of thriving, resilient communities through the transformation of the built environment. Through the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program, they work to advance building and community design, construction, and operation. Their mission is to foster environments that enhance human well-being while protecting the planet.

EECS

Mondo has obtained EECS (European Energy Certificate System) certification, recognized across Europe, which verifies the renewable origin of the electricity consumed. This certification ensures that the electrical energy used in our production facility comes entirely from renewable sources such as wind, solar, and hydropower.

DNV ISO 14064

A greenhouse gas emissions audit allows a company to accurately measure its climate impact. By providing a reliable methodological framework, it paves the way for implementing reduction or offset actions. This process enhances transparency and demonstrates a genuine commitment to environmentally responsible practices.

ISO 9001

This international standard defines practices that enable high performance through the implementation of processes that optimize operational efficiency at every level. It encourages companies to improve customer satisfaction by ensuring products comply with applicable requirements and maintaining rigorous quality monitoring.

ISO 14001

Recognized worldwide, this standard guides companies in organizing their environmental management approach. It establishes concrete practices for environmental protection, including pollution prevention, waste reduction, and the limitation of energy and material consumption.

ISO 50001

This international standard supports organizations in optimizing their energy management. It provides the guidelines necessary for sustainable energy management, helping to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy-related costs, and minimize environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions.

GECA

The GECA Ecolabel (Good Environmental Choice Australia)  is globally recognized as a robust and credible form of environmental labeling as it involves multiple criteria and life cycle considerations. The product and the Company are independently assessed to meet a wide range of environmental, human health and social impact criteria.
