Named for two pioneering educators and advocates—Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray and Betty Doretha Massenburg—this elementary school honors a legacy of leadership and equity. Its design centers on a compact layout built around a shared courtyard to foster a strong sense of community. Wide hallways and the main lobby showcase the beautiful, wooded environment and let plenty of natural light in, while open learning commons encourage the exchange of ideas and learning beyond the classrooms.
50,625 sq. ft. of Mondo rubber flooring was chosen to complement and enhance the natural appeal of the architecture. Harmoni HG517 River, HG524 Passionfruit, HG525 Eryngium, Kayar K62 Night Sky, Uni U26 Steel and Uni U21 Eiffel were selected from our standard line. Another custom color was created in Uni, which resulted in the vibrant yellow that can be seen throughout the facility. These colors bring a playful yet refined aesthetic to classrooms, corridors, and shared learning areas, while supporting a quiet, slip-resistant, and comfortable experience underfoot.
